National Informatics Centre (NIC): NIC has been instrumental in steering e-Government/e-Governance applications in government ministries/departments at the Centre, States, Districts and Blocks, facilitating improvement in government services, wider transparency, promoting decentralized planning and Centre, States, Districts and Blocks, facilitating improvement in government services, wider transparency, promoting decentralized planning and management, resulting in better efficiency and accountability to the people of India.

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC): Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is the premier R&D organization of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for carrying out R&D in IT, Electronics and associated areas.

Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI): Unique Identification Authority of India was created with the objective to issue Unique Identification numbers (UID), named as "Aadhaar", to all residents of India that is (a) robust enough to eliminate duplicate and fake identities, and (b) can be verified and authenticated in an easy, cost-effective way. The first UID number was issued on 29 September 2010 to a resident of Nandurbar, Maharashtra. The Authority has so far issued more than 120 crore Aadhaar numbers to the residents of India.

Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA): The Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA) has been appointed by the Central Government under section 17 of the Act for purposes of the IT Act. The Office of the CCA came into existence on November 1, 2000. It aims at promoting the growth of E-Commerce and E- Governance through the wide use of digital signature.

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology: National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT),(erstwhile DOEACC Society), an Autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, was set up to carry out Human Resource Development and related activities in the area of Information, Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT).

Software Technology Parks of India: Software Technology Parks of India, is an Autonomous Society set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in 1991, with the objective of encouraging, promoting and boosting the Software Exports from India. Software Technology Parks of India maintains internal engineering resources to provide consulting, training and implementation services.

Education and Research Network (ERNET): ERNET India is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of Dept. of Information Technology, Government of India having one of the largest nationwide terrestrial and satellite network with 15 points of presence located at the premier academic and research institutions in major cities of the country.

National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI): The National Internet Exchange of India is the neutral meeting point of the ISPs in India. Its main purpose is to facilitate exchange of domestic Internet traffic between the peering ISP members. This enables more efficient use of international bandwidth, saving foreign exchange.
