It was a technical committee setup in 2006 on Drought Prone Areas Program (DPAP), Desert Development Program (DDP), Integrated Wasteland Development Program (IWDP). The report too was published in the same year.
It covered a wide range of issues from defining criteria of classifying wastelands to prioritizing their betterment, people’s participation in initiatives to impact assessment of projects, everything was covered.
