Operating Ratio is index of judging financial performance of Indian Railways. In Divisions, no Operating Ratio is worked out as earnings are not apportioned amongst Divisions. However, Performance Efficiency Index (PEI) is worked out on originating earnings to judge the financial performance of the Division.
