It was setup in 2014 for attracting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds from corporate sector and contributions from individuals and philanthropists to achieve the objective of Clean India (Swachh Bharat) by 2nd October, 2019 (150th birth anniversary of MK Gandhi).
