Heal in India Campaign

It is a pan-India initiative of the health ministry which caters to people across the globe.

  • It is focused on positioning India as a global leader in health and to boost medical tourism in the country.
  • It involves a digital portal called Medical Value Travel, which will be a window of integrated Indian health care for the world.
  • It involves both central and the state governments and will offer modern medicine as well as traditional medicine.

PEN PLUS Strategy

  • It is focused on alleviating the non-communicable disease (NCD) burden among the poorest children and young adults.
  • It increases the accessibility and quality of chronic care services for severe NCDs in the rural areas of low- and lower-middle-income countries (LLMICs).
  • It can treat diseases like type 1 diabetes, advanced rheumatic and congenital heart disease (RHD/CHD), and sickle cell disease (SCD) for which treatment had not previously been available.
