The Union Government organised a month-long Kashi Tamil Sangamam in order to celebrate the cultural links between Tamil Nadu and Kashi.
It was part of the Amrit Kaal celebrations.
The Sangamam was centred on themes covering various facets of knowledge – literature, ancient texts, philosophy, spirituality, music, dance, drama, yoga, Ayurveda, etc.
IIT-Madras and Banaras Hindu University were the knowledge partners and host organisers of the Sangamam.
