Kishore Vaigyanik ProtsahanYojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Programme to provide Mentorship and Scholarship support to pursue study in Basic Sciences.
While KVPY program is initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, it is administered and implemented by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru to attract exceptionally motivated students to study science and pursue careers in research.
The objectives of the program are to identify students with talent and aptitude for research, help them realize their potential in their studies, encourage them to take up research careers in science and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
