“Her&Now” Project

On 25th March, 2022, Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog announced its collaboration with the Indo-German Development Cooperation Project ‘Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Start-ups by Women (Her&Now)’.

Key Points: The partnership between AIM and Her&Now will impart the ‘WINcubate Training Programme’ to the AIM Incubators and Innovation Centres and equip them in adopting a gender-focused approach.

  • It will help the participants to design and implement women centric incubation programmes.
  • The collaboration will emphasise on designing and implementing women centric support programmes in order to promote enterprise creation and growth by women entrepreneurs.
  • The project has already partnered with entities like Dhriiti (for North-East India), Startup Oasis (for Rajasthan), and WE Hub (for Telangana) for effective on-ground implementation in various local regions of the country.

Impact: Realising Entrepreneurship Dreams - With an apt motto and tagline, the campaign will complement the on-ground mother project and be instrumental in bringing to the fore thought-provoking, unique stories of countless women who are shedding stereotypes overcoming challenges to fuel their entrepreneurship dreams.

  • Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing the project ‘Economic Empowerment of Women Entrepreneurs and Start-ups by Women’.

  • It aims to end the gender-based barriers that pose significant obstacles to women entrepreneurs across India.
