The Ministry Women and Child Development has promoted Self Help Groups (SHGs) under its project ‘Priyadarshini’ for Women Empowerment and Livelihood generation in Mid-Gangetic Plains.
Though the focus of the project ‘Priyadarshini’ was on livelihood enhancement, the beneficiaries were to be empowered to address their political, legal, health problems issues through rigorous capacity building.
