On 21st July, 2022, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on E-commerce came up with a report on ‘Promotion and Regulation of E-Commerce in India’ that examines and analyzes the various competition issues where one measures was also related to GST regime which exists in the e-commerce marketplace.
Recommendations related to Goods and Services Tax (GST) Regime: Extend the threshold exemption provided to offline sellers in relation to GST registration to online sellers as well.
