Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all by 2030. These goals aim to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to governments, businesses, civil society and the general public to work together to build a better future for everyone.

  • These goals are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that by 2030 all people enjoy peace and prosperity.
  • The 17 SDGs are integrated as they recognize that action in one area will affect outcomes in others, and that development must balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.
