The Petroleum and Natural Gas Ministry has released (on February 09, 2016) the Hydrocarbon Vision 2030 for North-East India, outlining steps to leverage the hydrocarbon sector for development of the region with aim to double Oil & Gas production by 2030.

Hydrocarbon Vision - 2025 The vision of Hydrocarbon 2025 was initiated in December 2000. It was a policy document formulated by a group of ministers comprising the minister of petroleum and natural gas and “It visualises Indian hydrocarbon sector to be a globally competitive industry benchmarked with the best in the world and promoting healthy competition in the market”.
