It was a joint initiative of Ministry of Panchayati Raj and Ministry of Rural Development for a period surpassing Ambedkar Jayanti (14th April to 05th May, 2018).
It was aimed at reaching out to poor households, spreading awareness about government welfare schemes and other people centric initiatives.
