It was launched alongside ‘TRIFOOD” scheme in 2019 by TRIFED in collaboration with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds which will be used to promote tribal livelihood projects.
Under the scheme, Public Sector Units (PSUs) like Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Ltd. (SPMCL) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) have sanctioned approximately Rs. 10.00 crores for promoting Van Dhan operations in Barwani, Rajnandgaon, Dewas and
Hoshangabad Districts of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
Similarly, other PSUs have been urged to come forward and contribute in the development of tribals in the country under the scheme.
