Constituted in 1999 but continued since 2013, the Nari Shakti Puraskar/Award confers accolades to 20 eminent women (individuals or organizations) on 8th March (International Women’s Day) every year.
The award consists of a certificate and a cash amount.
Similar recognitions like Stree Shakti Puruskar, Nari Shakti Puruskar, Rajya Mahila Samman, Zila Mahila Samman, etc. are awarded to eminent women personalities.
