11th Defence Technology and Trade Initiative

Recently, the 11^th Defence Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI) Group meeting between India and the United States was held virtually.

About DTTI: The DTTI is a flexible mechanism that was launched in 2012.

Aim: To bring sustained leadership focus to the bilateral defence trade relationship and create opportunities for co-production and co-development of defence equipment.

• It also aims to strengthen India’s defence industrial base, explore new areas of technological development and expand US-India business ties.
