India AgriFood Startup – Investment Report

The report was released by the venture capital firms AgFunder and Omnivore.

Key Findings: Total investments in agri-food tech startups for FY21 stood at $2.1 billion, up 97% from FY20.

  • Restaurant Marketplaces remained the dominant investment category, raising $1.33 billion, or 64% of total FY21 agri-food tech funding.
  • Agribusiness Marketplace startups raised $86 million in FY21, almost a triple jump from the $30 million raised in FY20.
  • $97 million was deployed across 110 Seed deals in FY21, representing a significant increase from FY20 ($35 million across 50 deals).
