Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (INSPACe)

The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (INSPACe), an independent nodal agency under Department of Space, was created to open the space sector to promote, handhold, regulate and authorise private enterprises and start-ups to undertake space activities.

• This will enhance the diffusion of space technology and boost space economy within the country.
• The establishment of IN–SPACe was announced in June 2020 by the Minister of State for Space Jitendra Singh with the Union Cabinet approving its creation.
