This scheme has been approved as a sub-scheme of the umbrella scheme ‘Modernization of Police Forces’. The local populace in LWE affected areas is kept misguided and exploited through lack of information or propagation of false propaganda.
This directly affects the safety of the security personnel and threatens the democratic set up of the country. Therefore, the government through the implementation of this scheme tries to reduce the information gap through activities like Tribal Youth Exchange programmes, radio jingles, documentaries, pamphlets, etc.
