SUTRA-PIC India Programme

The Government of India recently released a concept note on the SUTRA-PIC India Programme that involves focussed research on ‘indigenous’ cows.The note solicits calls for proposals (CFP).

SUTRA-PIC

  • An inter-ministerial funding programme, the ‘Scientific Utilization through Research Augmentation- Prime Products from Indigenous Cows’ (SUTRA-PIC) will be implemented by the Science for Equity, Empowerment & Development (SEED) Division of the Ministry of Science and Technology, in partnership with many other Ministries, academic and research institutions.
  • The objective of the programme is to carry out R&D work, technology development linked to capacity building at local level, covering following five thematic areas:
