Square Kilometre Array Observatory Project
On 4th February 2021, a global collaboration for the world’s largest radio telescope took formal shape with the constitution of an Intergovernmental Council. With the ratification of the UK, the last of the host countries, the Square Kilometre Array Observatory (SKAO) Council came into existence.
- The SKA project is an international effort to build the world's largest radio telescope, with eventually over a square kilometers (one million square meters) of collecting area.
- It spans across two continents (Africa and Australia) and involves the participation of 20 countries. It is headquartered in UK and is expected to be ready for carrying out observations ....
