Toycathon 2021
On 24th June, 2021, Prime Minister interacted with the participants of Toycathon-2021 via video conferencing. During the meeting, PM highlighted the importance of the toys and game industry in Indian Economy. PM pitched for improving the country's standing in what he called ‘Toyconomy’ or the economic aspects of the toys and gaming industry.
About Toycathon 2021
- Under the ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan’ initiated by the government, Toycathon-2021 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toy and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology and ethos.
Aim
- To promote India as a global toy manufacturing hub.
