Google officially announced in the journal 'Nature' that it has achieved the milestone of “quantum supremacy.”
Quantum Supremacy
- It is a term proposed in 2012 by John Preskill, professor of theoretical physics at the California Institute of Technology.
- It describes the point where quantum computers can do things that classical computers cannot.
- Quantum supremacy is a milestone in which a quantum computer overtakes traditional computing to the extent that it performs a task traditional computer could not do in a reasonable amount of time.
