Krishi Udan 2.0 Scheme
On 27th October, 2021, the Ministry of Civil Aviation launched the Krishi UDAN 2.0 scheme to focus on transporting perishable food products from the hilly areas, northeastern states and tribal areas.
- The enhanced version of the Krishi UDAN scheme was formulated with support from AAICLAS - a 100% subsidiary of the Airports Authority of India and Invest India, India’s national Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
- Total 53 airports are selected for the first phase of Krishi UDAN 2.0. – majority of them are operated by AAI.
