Sheikh Hasina
- Bangladesh’s ruling alliance won almost all the seats in the parliament in the country’s general election, giving Prime Minister Sheikh Hasinaa third term.
- The coalition led by Hasina’s Awami League won 288 out of 300 seats—96%—in polls. The National Unity Front the opposition alliance led by lawyer Kamal Hossain won only 7 seats.
