Revamping of Scheme for Financial Support to PPP in Infrastructure
- On 11th November, 2020, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved the Continuation and Revamping of the Scheme for Financial Support to Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in Infrastructure Viability Gap Funding (VGF) Scheme till 2024-25.It seeks to mainstream private participation in social infrastructure.
- The earlier VGF scheme was limited to projects concerning economic infrastructure only, leaving behind the scope of development social infrastructures in the country.
Components of Revamped Scheme
Sub scheme-1
- This would cater to Social Sectors such as Waste Water Treatment, Water Supply, Solid Waste Management, Health and Education sectors etc as these projects face bank ability issues ....
