Jharkhand Govt. launches SAAMAR Campaign
- The Govt. of Jharkhand has launched SAAMAR (Strategic Action for Alleviation of Malnutrition and Anemia Reduction) campaign to tackle malnutrition.
- The campaign aims to identify anemic women and malnourished children; and to converge various departments to effectively deal with the problem in a state where malnutrition has been a major problem.
‘Gram Ujala’ Scheme Launched in Bihar
- The Union Power Ministry has launched the pilot ‘Gram Ujala’ programme in Arrah, Bihar.
- Under this scheme, LEDs (7 watt and 12-Watt LED bulbs with 3 years warranty) will be available for only Rs 10 each ....
