‘SIMBEX’ 2021

  • The 28th edition of Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) was conducted from 2-4 September 2021 in the southern fringes of the South China Sea.
  • Initiated in 1994, SIMBEX is the Indian Navy’s longest uninterrupted bilateral maritime exercise with any foreign navy.

Exercise ‘Zair-Al-Bahr’

  • The second edition of exercise Zair-Al-Bahr between the Indian Navy and Qatar Emiri Naval Force (QENF) was conducted from 09-14 August 2021 in the Persian Gulf.
  • The inaugural edition of Zair-Al-Bahr (Roar of the Sea) was conducted during 17–21 November 2019 at Doha.
