Zero-Budget Natural Farming
Union Finance Minister during her recent budget speech called for promotion of zero-budget natural farming (ZBNF) in India for achieving the target of doubling farmer’s incomes.
- Finance Minister referred to several states, including Andhra Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh, which have been aggressively driving a shift towards this model.
- In June 2018, Andhra Pradesh rolled out an ambitious plan to become India’s first State to practise 100% natural farming by 2024.
