Postal Ballot Facility Extended to Senior Citizens & COVID-19 Patients
The Ministry of Law and Justice recently issued a notification for the Conduct of Elections (Amendment) Rules 2020 for extending the postal ballot facility for voters above the age of 65 years as well as Covid-19 patients under home or institutional quarantine during Bihar Elections.
Key Changes in Voting Rules
- The Centre after consulting the Election Commission of India (ECI) framed new rules to further amend the Conduction of Election Rules, 1961.
