  • Peninsular Plateau: It is an ancient landmass which is mainly made up of igneous and metamorphic rocks.
    • The Peninsular Plateau is an irregular triangular shaped landmass, where low hills and wide valleys are found.
    • It extends up to the Aravali ranges and Delhi in the north-west, Rajmahal Hills in the east, Gir Hills in the west, Cardamom Hills in the south and Shillong and Karbi-Anglong plateau in the north-east.
