Financial Management & Revenue
- A revenue surplus of Rs. 8,831 crore is projected, equivalent to 0.8% of GSDP.
- Fiscal deficit held at Rs. 32,718 crore, within FRBM limits.
- Total receipts (excluding borrowings) at Rs. 2,61,357 crore, up 7%.
- Total expenditure (excluding debt repayments) at Rs. 2,94,075 crore, down 10%.
- Public debt liability was 32.78% of GSDP during 2023-24.This is under prescribed limit of 40.4% by the 15th Finance Commission.
- The monitoring framework under Bihar FRBM Act has been strengthened.
- E-governance and digital payment systems are promoted to enhance revenue collection.
