Climate Change Performance Index
- India ranked 7th in the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) for the year 2023, showing a rise of one position from the previous ranking.
- The CCPI evaluates the climate mitigation efforts of 63 countries plus the EU, covering over 90% of global greenhouse gas emissions.
- India achieved high rankings in the Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy Use categories but scored medium in Climate Policy and Renewable Energy, similar to the previous year.
