Recently, at the COP27, nine countries joined the Global Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA).The countries are the UK, the US, Belgium, Colombia, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, and Norway.

- About: Global Offshore Wind Alliance was recently formed by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Denmark and the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
- The alliance is supported by a number of organizations which are actively promoting the offshore wind industry in their respective regions.
