Himalayan Yak
- The Himalayan yak has been accepted as a food animal by the scientific panel of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) after recommendation from the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying.
- The domestic yak (Bos grunniens) is a species of long-haired domesticated cattle found throughout the Himalayan region of the Indian subcontinent, the Tibetan Plateau and other places.
