e-Way Bill System
Recently, according to the Data from Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), e-Way bill generation in October, 2023, has crossed 10 crore for the first time since its introduction. This could be a reflection of the festival demand which necessitated goods to be transported in large quantity.
About Way Bill
- It is a receipt or a document issued by a carrier giving details and instructions relating to the shipment of a consignment of goods and the details include name of consignor, consignee, and the point of origin of the consignment, its destination, and route.
