  • Constructed by: Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
  • Situated at approx. 13,000 feet altitude.
  • Located about 25 km from the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
  • Lies on the northern bank of the Indus River.
  • Region surrounded by Karakoram & Himalayan ranges.
  • Leh is surrounded by Karakoram (north), Ladakh Range (south), Zanskar Range (further south).
  • Fourth major airbase in Ladakh, supplementing Leh, Kargil, and Thoise airbases.
  • Monitors key Eastern Ladakh routes: Depsang Plains, Pangong Tso sector, Chushul ....
