On May 12-13, 2023, the 6th Indian Ocean Conference (IOC) was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

- The Conference brought together over 25 ministers, state ministers, and deputy ministers from various nations, and was jointly organized by the Bangladesh Foreign Ministry and the India Foundation, a New Delhi-based think tank.
