Mulagandha Kuti Vihara

  • The Ministry of Culture, for the first time, is holding an exposition of the sacred Buddha Relic of Sarnath in Vietnam during the celebrations of the United Nations Day of Vesak 2025 (12th May).
  • The relic will be taken from Sarnath's Mulagandha Kuti Vihar.
  • The Mulagandha Kuti Vihara in Sarnath, established in 1931 by the Maha Bodhi Society, currently enshrines Buddha relics discovered by the Archaeological Survey of India at Nagarjuni Konda and Taxila.
  • Mulagandha Kuti Vihara is considered the crowning achievement of Anagarika Dharmapala, who founded the Maha Bodhi Society in 1891 with the aim of resurrecting the prominence of Buddhism ....
