Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has appointed French-born economist Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas as the next chief economist, replacing Indian origin Gita Gopinath, who has been appointed as the institution’s first deputy managing director.
