- Tribute paid on 14th January 2026 by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 10th Armed Forces Veterans Day.
- Conducted by Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) in late 1987.
- Objective: Eliminate LTTE control in Sri Lanka’s Jaffna Peninsula.
- India–Sri Lanka Accord signed on 29 July 1987.
- Timeline: Began on 11 October 1987; IPKF withdrawn in March ....
