Sustainable Cities Integrated Approach Pilot (SCIAP) Project
The project is being carried out by UNIDO and UN-Habitat in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.
- The project aims of integrating sustainability strategies into urban planning and management at the city level and creating an enabling environment for investments in green infrastructure that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve service delivery, and improve the quality of living for all citizens, thereby building resilience and strengthening the governance capacity of the cities.
- It includes Jaipur, Mysore, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Bhopal as its 5 pilot cities.
- It is funded by the Global Environment Facility.
