Energy Statistics India 2025
On 29th March 2025, the National Statistics Office (NSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation released the annual publication “Energy Statistics India 2025”.
Key Highlights
- India has a huge potential for generation of renewable energy which stands at 21,09,655 Megawatt as on 31-Mar-24.
- The potential of generating energy from wind power is having the dominating share of 11,63,856 Megawatt (around 55%) which is followed by solar energy (7,48,990 Megawatt) and large hydro (1,33,410).
- More than half of the potential for generation of renewable energy has been concentrated within the four States of India: 1. Rajasthan (20.3%), 2. Maharashtra (11.8%), 3. ....
