Political Boundaries

  • Situated in north-eastern Africa
  • Bordered with Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea
  • South Sudan was bifurcated from it in 2011
  • Sudan shares its maritime border with Saudi Arabia in Red Sea
