A cyber or cybersecurity threat is a malicious act that seeks to damage data, steal data, or disrupt digital life in general. It has following types:
- Ransomware: Ransomware is a form of malicious software that locks up the files on a person’s computer, encrypts them, and demands him to pay to get his files back. For instance, Wanna Decryptor, or Wanna Cry, is a form of ransomware that affects Microsoft’s Windows operating system.CERBER, Net Walker and Ryuk are the top three ransomware families.
