On 26th August, 2024, Union Government issued Comprehensive Guidelines for Handling Public Grievances.
Major Highlights of the Comprehensive Guidelines
- User-Friendly Grievance Filing Platform: An integrated user-friendly grievance filing platform with the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) on which grievances can be registered by citizens which will operate as a single window experience.
- Nodal Officers: Nodal Officers for Public Grievances in all Ministries/ Departments will address grievances promptly, fairly and efficiently.
- Dedicated Grievance Cells: These cells shall be set-up in every Ministry/ Department with sufficient resources having knowledge of schemes and activities.
