Cheetah Deaths at Kuno National Park

On 20^th July, 2023, the Supreme Court expressed dismay over the deaths of cheetahs brought as part of India’s ‘Project Cheetah’ to Kuno National Park from South Africa and Namibia within a year, urging the Union Government to take corrective actions.

• On 2^nd August, 2023, another female cheetah died at the park, taking the toll to nine.
