With surging vehicle ownership, freight demand and urban expansion, transport emissions are rising rapidly—posing a challenge to both sustainability and energy security. While policies on electrification, fuel efficiency, and modal shift are gaining ground, fragmented infrastructure, behavioural inertia, and lack of a national roadmap continue to hinder progress. Bridging these gaps through integrated planning, investment in green mobility, and data-driven policymaking is essential for building a low-carbon, resilient transport future.
