Development and Welfare Board for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes

The Board was setup in June, 2019 as per notification of the government.

• The board was formed as per the recommendation of National Commission for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (NCDNT), which was setup in 2014 to prepare a state-wise list of castes belonging to Denotified and Nomadic tribes.
• These are communities which are often left out of accruing the benefits of welfare policies, as most of them are not included in SCs, STs and OBCs.
