Rs. 1,000 crore transferred to Bank Accounts of Self-Help Groups

The Union Govt. on December 21, 2021 transferred Rs. 1,000 crore to bank accounts of self-help groups (SHGs) under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) to benefit around 16 lakh women.

• The mission aims to provide women, especially those at the grassroots, with necessary skills, incentives and resources. It will help to improve quality and efficiency of SHGs.
